Funeral Services Held Sat. For Jeanette French

Jeanette French passed away May 8, 1969, at the Memorial Community Hospital at Blair at the age of 77 years and 11 months. She had been in ill health for a number of years and an invalid for over 2 years. She was the daughter of the late Mathilda and Olaf Kronberg of the Kennard vicinity. She was born near Orum, lived in a sod house for 2 years and then moved to a farm northwest of Kennard, Nebraska.

She was untied in marriage on March 8, 1916, to Fred French of Kennard. He preceded her in death, November 29, 1960. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Orum, and later transferred to Kennard Emmaus Lutheran. Later she became a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair.

Surviving are a son, Clyde French, a daughter, Mrs. Earl J. (Irma) Thompson, both of Blair, Nebraska, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 10, 1969 at the First United Methodist Church at Blair. Interment was in the Kennard Cemetery. The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers included Lloyd Jacob, William C. Jensen, Albert T. Jensen, Ronald R. Jensen, Andrew G. Svendgard and H. Ernest Jensen, all of Blair, Nebraska.

Note: Jeanette is buried in the Kennard Cemetery in Block 3 Lot 5 Sp 4.
