MRS. WATKINS PASSSES

Ida Ruth Rodman, daughter of Sol and Sarah Rodman, was born May 28, 1892 near Malvern, Iowa, and departed this life March 24, 1935 at Fort Calhoun, Nebr. at the age of 42 years, 9 months and 28 days. On June 2, 1909 she was married to John Watkins. To this union were born four children, a son, Delbert, died in infancy, and three daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Frahm of Blair, Vivian and Elsie at home, who, with the husband, deeply mourn their loss. Other survivors are a grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Ella Russell of Tabor, Iowa and Mrs. Alice Bishop of Rosean, Minnesota, two brothers, Josh and Herschel Rodman of Glenwood, Iowa. Mrs. Watkins united with the Church of Christ at Tabor in her early womanhood. In 1921 she and her family moved to Washington county and her membership was transferred to the Church of Christ at Blair where she was a member until her death. Short funeral services were held at the Sievers Chapel at 9:30 Tuesday morning, and the body was taken to Tabor, Iowa for burial.
