He was taken to an Omaha hospital on Wednesday of last week, but he pled with his parents to take him home, which they did on Friday evening. Acute appendicitis developed which caused his death.

SON OF MR. & MRS. FRED GRABBE DIES

PASSED AWAY AT HIS HOME AFTER ONLY TEN DAYS OF ILLNESS

Funeral services were held Monday at one o'clock P. M. for Wm. Grabbe, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grabbe of the Herman community, who passed away at his home Saturday morning after a ten day illness. The rites were conducted at the Belle Creek church by Rev. W. H. Moeller of Hooper.

Ten days previous to his death, the youth contracted a cold which developed into pneumonia. Becoming seriously ill, he was taken to an Omaha hospital, where it was revealed that not only was he suffering for pneumonia, but that a severe attack of acute appendicitis had greatly endangered his life. All possible medical aid was given, but the illness proved fatal.

William Merrel Grabbe was born October 22, 1919. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 15 years, 4 months and 10 days. He had attended school in the vicinity of his home, and had won many close friends of his own age.

Those who mourn his passing are his parents; three sisters and three brothers, besides other relatives and friends.

Burial was made in the Blair cemetery
