MRS. LAURA MEAD DIES IN CANADA

Blair relatives and friends have received word of the death of Mrs. Laura M. Mead, who with her husband, lived for a number of years on a farm four miles north of Blair, at her home in Vermillion, Alberta, Canada. She was the widow of the late Frank E. Mead, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Behrens, well known early day Washington county residents.

Mrs. Mead was born near Blair and in October, 1890, she was married to her husband. To the union five sons and two daughters were born. They are: Roscoe, Frank, George and William Mead, all of Vermilion, and Lou Mead of Detroit. The daughters are Rena and Helen, both of whom are married.

Mrs. Mead was a sister of Mrs. Fred Hurdum and of Mrs. Harvey Krogh, both of Blair, and a sister-in-law of Mrs. C. B. Bunn. The funeral and interment were held in Vermilion.
