Ex-Kennard Farmer, 81, Father of Mrs. Spickler of Calhoun

C. B. “Chris” Christensen, 81, onetime farmer southeast of Kennard, died Friday at San Diego, Calif. where he and his wife had moved from Omaha in January.

Funeral services are being held at the Brailey & Dorrance Chapel in Omaha at 2 p.m. today, burial to follow in Kennard Cemetery.

Native of Denmark, Mr. Christensen came to this vicinity when 23 years old, and lived in Washington County and Omaha 57 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Perry of San Diego and Mrs. Mahlon M. Spickler of Fort Calhoun. There are five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Christensen has two brothers living in Denmark.

FUNERAL SERVICES TODAY FOR FORMER

Funeral services will be held at the Brailey and Torrance Chapel at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, for C. B. Christensen, 81, former Washington Countian, who died at San Diego, California after a long illness Friday. Burial will be at the Kennard cemetery.

Mr. Christensen is survived by his wife, Marie of San Diego, two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Perry, San Diego, Mrs. M. M. Spickler of Fort Calhoun, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
