Mrs. Black Died Friday-Former Blair Resident Dies Friday At Grand Island Home

Mrs. Rosa Melissa Black, 90, the former Rose Gilbert, died Friday at the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Grand Island. Formerly of Blair, Mrs. Black had lived in Grand Island for a number of years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy Jacobs (Florence) and Mrs. Al Mundorf (Elsie) of Blair; and one son, John Gilbert of Lamar, Mo., 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday with burial in the Soldiers Home Cemetery in Grand Island.

Mrs. Black was born Dec. 4, 1866, in Worthington, OH. She was an early Washington Countain, but had lived at Grand Island the past 27 years at the Soldiers Home.
