Services Are In Tekamah For Minnie French

Services were Saturday, January 28, at Hamel and Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah for Minnie C. Young French, 83, who died January 25, 1984, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Decatur.

Minnie C. Young French was born April 4, 1900, on a farm in Blair to Christian and Anna Marie Fredricksen Andersen. She grew up in Blair and attended Gardner School.

She married Fred J. Young on December 29, 1919. They made their home in Decatur until his death on June 12, 1962.

She married Clyde G. French October 12, 1967. They lived in Decatur until August, 1982, when they moved to Blair for a short time. They then moved to the Tekamah Senior Citizens Home in June, 1983, where she lived until her death.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde of Tekamah; and five children, Ned J. Young and Doris Harris of Torrington, Wyoming; Mrs. Henry (Bonnie) Otte of Blair; Mrs. Alfred (Jean) Ferguson of Herman; and Mrs. Tom Warren (Mina) of Blair. Ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna L. Andersen of Lakepost, California; and Dena Foley of Omaha; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lois Andersen of Fresno, California, and Mrs. Marvin (Lois) Squires of Decatur; and many friends also survive her.

Hamel and Peck Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
