FUNERAL RITES FOR FRED WILCOX

Mrs. James L. Pounds and Mrs. E. C. Lippincott went to Norfolk Friday where they attended funeral services for Fred Wilcox, former Blair resident, who died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Schmidt, after a long illness.

A native of New York state, Mr. Wilcox came west to Elliott, Iowa in 1880, and farmed near there for nine years, then moving to Chadron where he conducted a restaurant. In 1900 he came to Blair, living here until after the World war. Since leaving here, he has lived at Norfolk. His widow is the only survivor.
