Cora Anne West was born September 13, 1867 near Huron, Indiana, and passed away at her home at Herman, Nebr. October 17, 1934 at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 4 days.

At the age of fourteen she, with her parents and family, moved from Huron locating at Herman, Nebr.

She was married to George Smith October 14, 1898, with the exception of residing in Blair, Kennard and Arlington for short periods, they have lived in Herman ever since.

Having spent most of her life in Herman, she was well known and loved by many. Her life centered in her home and loved ones upon whom she showered her affection.

She was a lover of flowers and took great delight in working with them and sharing them with others. She was a kind mother, a faithful wife and a good neighbor.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Jones of Omaha, two brothers, Horace and Killus West of Herman and one granddaughter, Mrs. Mardele Burke of West Point, Nebr., other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Baptist church, and were conducted by Rev. T. J. Reese, pastor of the Baptist church at Blair.
