FORMER BLAIR WOMAN PASSES

Mrs. Minnie G. Miller, well known in Blair, passed away at the home of her son, Donald, in Dayton, Ohio August 20, 1934. She was born in Omaha December 31, 1869 and came to Blair with her younger sister when she was eighteen years of age.

In 1892 she was married to Charles E. Miller who was engaged in the grocery business, and to them two sons, Donald and Charles, were born. The husband passed away in 1899, and the deceased met the calamity by taking over the affairs. She served as deputy in the county clerk’s office for a period of years and was the bookkeeper in the city light office for a long period also.

She left Blair in 1925 and has since that time been employed as matron at the Andrews school for girls at Willoughby, Ohio. At the time of her death, which came suddenly, she was enjoying a visit with her son, but was ready to return to her work when the end came.

Funeral services will be held in Blair, her old home, at the Methodist church on Friday morning at 10 o’clock with Rev. A. F. Newell of the Congregational church officiating, and interment will be made by the side of her husband in the Blair cemetery.
