MRS. M. PYLES RITES HELD HERE TODAY

Mrs. Mary Pyles, who had she lived until next January would have been 89 years old, died here at 8:30 o’clock Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Baker on West Colfax street, with whom she had made her home for the past eight years. Her condition had not been critical until recently, and with the help of others she had been able to be around the house most of the time.

Mrs. Pyles came to Washington county from Ohio fifty four years ago, and until coming to Blair, lived since then in the vicinity of Herman.

Surviving were three daughters, Mrs. Rose Harper of Herman, Mrs. Frank Giltner of Forest Grove, Oregon and Mrs. Peter Petersen of Wood, South Dakota; and two sons, Ed Pyles of Blair and Henry Pyles of Arlington.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Baptist church with the Rev. T. J. Reese officiating. Burial will be in the Blair cemetery.
