SAM HALL PASSES

As we go to press word reaches us of the death of Sam Hall of Kennard, who passed away in an Omaha hospital at 10 o’clock Wednesday evening. No arrangements have as yet been made for the funeral services.

#2-21 June, 1934 - The Enterprise

Samuel Bristo Hall was born March 17, 1877 at Breckenridge, Kentucky, and passed away on June 14, 1934 at the Lord Lister hospital in Omaha. He moved to Collins county, Texas with his parents when two years of age. He came to Nebraska in January, 1902, and on February 26, 1903 he was united in marriage to Martha C. Rhea. To this union six children were born: Helen, now Mrs. George H. Owens of Randolph, Nebr.; Edith, Mrs. Ben Bailey of Blair, who passed away May 5, 1933; John, Harriet, Gretchen and Florence, all of Kennard. These five children, with their dear mother, five grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Watkins of Calera, Okla., Mrs. Orpha Downs of Durant, Okla., four brothers, Jesse, Orrest, Ollie and Henry of Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn his death.

In the death of Mr. Hall the community has lost an honest, industrious citizen, the wife and children a good husband and father.

Funeral services on Sunday afternoon in the Methodist church at Kennard, Rev. Thomas J. Reese of Blair in charge, assisted by Rev. Booher, pastor of the Methodist church.

Interment was made in the Kennard cemetery.
