L. BUCH DIES SUDDENLY

Lauritz Buch, for twenty two years engaged in the grocery and meat business in Kennard, dropped dead Saturday in the Central Market in Omaha where he had gone to purchase supplies for his store.

Deceased was fifty three years of age last May 4th. He came to this country in 1909 from Denmark, landing in New York and going first to South Dakota and in 1910 he settled in Kennard.

He was married to Miss Katherine Knudsen in 1901 who passed away in 1916. Later in 1920 he married his first wife’s sister, Miss Carla Knudsen. By the first marriage three children were born, two of whom are living, Carl and Elsie. Carl is now in the navy. By the second marriage two daughters were born, Anna Margaret and Ruth and these children, with their mother, grieve deeply over the death of the husband and father.

Besides these immediate relatives, he also leaves one sister in Kennard and four still living in Denmark.

Deceased was affiliated with the Odd Fellow lodge and the Lutheran church, both of which he religiously followed their teachings. In his personal dealings with man he was considered strictly honest and a man of high type of character. He will be greatly missed among his business associates in Kennard.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Lutheran church in Kennard with Rev. James Lund officiating.
