This community was grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. William McCracken, who passed away at her home in Fremont on May 30, 1934. Jessie Edwards was born on a farm near Kennard where she grew to womanhood. She was married to William McCracken of Kennard in March, 1899, and to this union one daughter, Gladys, was born. With her husband and daughter she resided in Kennard until 1913 when they moved to Fremont where she resided until her death. She has been in ill health of a complicated nature for a year or longer, and her death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage. She leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Carmichael and Mrs. Margaret Epperly of Blair and three brothers, James, Harry and David of Blair. Her parents and one sister, Mrs. Addie Booth, preceded her in death. The funeral services were held at the Hartman Funeral Home in Fremont Sunday, and interment was made in the Kennard cemetery.
