Erma L. Andreasen, 79, of Kennard, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Erma L. Rasmussen was born Nov. 24, 1929, on the family farm near Orum to George and Elnora (Rasmussen) Rasmussen. She attended grade school in Orum and graduated from Blair High School in 1947.

On September 10, 1953, she married James Andreasen at the Lutheran Church in Blair.

Mrs. Andreasen was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard, where she enjoyed making quilts with the Emmaus Women. She also liked to garden and help her husband on the farm.

She loved bowling, and enjoyed bowling with her husband in couples leagues in Blair, Elkhorn and Fremont. After her husband could no longer bowl, she continued bowling in women's leagues in Fremont.

She is survived by her husband, James; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Denise Andreasen of Blair; two daughters and a son-in-law, Denise Andreasen of Bloomfield, Colo.; Sheila and Mark McIntyre of Rulison, Colo.; two grandchildren, Kristen Collins and Bryce Andreasen.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda; brothers, Gene and Duane Rasmussen.

Memorials are suggested to charities benefiting macular degeneration eye disease.

Note: She is buried in Blk 8 Lot 8 Sp 5 in the Kennard Cemetery.
