MRS. HENRY STRUVE PASSES

Adolphine Traeger, known to us, her townspeople as Mrs. Henry Struve, passed away at her home in this city last Saturday, Feb. 17 at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Deceased was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, and was confirmed in the Lutheran church. She came to America in October, 1882 with her sister, Mrs. Henry Kempcke and her family, coming directly to Blair, Nebr. where she spent the rest of her life.

She was married to Henry Struve on November 24, 1888, and they established their home on west Nebraska street where they lived until death claimed them, first the husband in October, 1932 and now the wife.

To Mr. and Mrs. Struve five children were born, all of whom survive. They are M. Louie and Chris F. of Blair, Mrs. Dora Pfeiffer of Ft. Calhoun and Herman H. and Margaret H. of Wichita, Kansas, also seven grandchildren, three brothers and one sister in Germany.

Mrs. Struve was a real wife and mother, always looking out for the comfort and happiness of her family and her friends. Seldom is it found that the virtues of a true Christian mother and wife could be more pronounced than in her life, and she was admired and loved not only by her family, but by a very large circle of friends, and her children grieve deeply their great loss.

Sorrows have come rapidly to the family, the death of the father, who was prominent in the history of the city as a builder and of a type of the highest citizenry, and now of the mother following close on the other great sorrow, is indeed a heavy burden.

The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home under the direction of Rev. Newell, and a large number of old friends were gathered as a last token of their respect. G. L. Dixon, who sang at the last sad rites of the husband, also rendered a solo in his usual impressive manner at the funeral of the wife.

Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
