MRS. RASMUS JOHANSEN PASSES

Mrs. Rasmus Johansen passed away last Tuesday, Febr. 6, following an illness of long duration. Last December, hoping to relieve her suffering, she submitted to an operation for cancer, but she failed to regain her health and the end came, not unexpectedly, last Tuesday.

Deceased was born in Copenhagen, Denmark Feb. 25, 1879, and was thus nearly 55 years of age. She came to this country in 1908, and was married to Rasmus Johansen May 20, 1909. Rev. A. M. Anderson, well known here, performed the ceremony at the Carl O. Jensen home south of Blair.

Mrs. Johansen was a woman of culture and refinement and held in high esteem by those who knew here, and her wide circle of friends will miss her greatly.

She leaves a family of several brothers and sisters in the mother country and one brother, Archie Kjellin in Blair and another, S. O. Kjellin in Narco, Calif., and the bereaved husband in this city.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. James Lund, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
