MRS. M. PONTZIUS

Martha C. Miller was born April 17, 1855 and departed this life Jan. 25, 1934 at the age of 74 years, 9 months, 8 days. She was born in Louisa Co., Iowa where she spent her girlhood days. She was united in marriage to Wm. H. Pontzius in 1871. After residing in Iowa for some time, they homesteaded in Kansas where they lived until 1899 when they moved to Blair where she still had her home. The last nine weeks of her life were spent with her daughter in Hastings.

She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Emma Patterson of Chicago and Mrs. Lillian Barry of Hastings. Also nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The body was brought to Blair Friday, and services were held from the Bendorf Funeral Home Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Walter H. Jackson in charge.
