Mrs. Sarah Lichty, daughter of Daniel and Eliza Beachley, was born in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania May 12, 1848. She entered Crowell Memorial Home from Lincoln in May, 1928, and passed away after an illness of only two days, January 3, 1934. She married William S. Lichty February 25, 1869, and to this union five sons were born, all of whom, with the husband preceded her in death. She is survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held in the Crowell Home on Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. C. George and assisted by Rev. W. H. Jackson. The body was then taken to Lincoln, her former home, where a second service was held in Roper & Castle Funeral Home on Friday afternoon, January 5th. Her body was laid to rest in Wyuka cemetery by the side of her husband and sons. Mrs. Lichty lived in Nebraska fifty three years, much respected and greatly beloved by all who knew her. Early in life she became a member of the German Baptist church, and later joined the Christian Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. She died as she lived, the friend of all mankind.

Mr. and Mrs. E. Beachey of Papillion brought Mrs. Anna Campbell home on Sunday after attending the funeral of Mrs. Lichty at Lincoln on Friday.
