TRUMAN L. TRACY

Truman L. Tracy came to Crowell Memorial Home April 15, 1932, and passed on to a better home on December 21 1933. There is no reason to doubt that his relation to God and his religious experiences were a vital part of his life. He expressed his faith and his readiness to meet his God at different occasions. Mr. Tracy was a Christian gentleman with the interests of God’s kingdom at heart.

On April 24, 1859 in Jamestown, New York, he came to gladden the hearts of his parents, who were pioneers of that section. At the age of 17 he came west and landed in Missouri Valley where later he was married to Carrie Bradly in 1888. Their family consisted of three children, one who passed in infancy, and Harry and his family of Sioux City, Iowa and Harland and his family of Omaha, Nebraska. One sister, Lydia Wadsworth of Jamestown, N.Y. and one brother, Ora B. Tracy of Bridgeport, Ill. remain to cherish a sweet memory of father and brother.
