CHESTER CLOSE, 26, KILLED IN ACCIDENT

Chester Close, 26, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Close of near Arlington, was killed Saturday evening in an auto accident on the west coast. Only brief details have been obtained, but it is learned young Close died instantly when the car in which he was driving from Carlsbad to San Diego, California was side swiped by a truck. He was accompanied by two friends at the time of the accident.

Besides the parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Dewey Miller of Carson, Iowa, and Miss Ruthetta Close of Omaha; and two brothers, Robert and Donald of Arlington.

Mr. and Mrs. Close left Monday evening for Carlsbad where an inquest will be held. Later the body will be brought to Arlington for burial, although funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
