Former Blair resident Harlow D. Freund, 69, of Altoona, Iowa, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center from complications from Parkinson’s disease.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Altoona Funeral Home.

Harlow D. Freund was born in Westby, Mont., and lived in Omaha and Blair. He worked as a credit manager for John Day Company, and was retired.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline, and son, Brian, both of Altoona; daughters, Cherie Ferriss of Altoona, and Ann Evans of Colo, Iowa; brother, Marvel Freund, of Rockville, Md., six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.

Altoona Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
