Sister of Mrs. Charles Mead Well Known Here Robertson

Mrs. Fred Robertson of Herman passed away Monday in the Clarkson hospital in Omaha following an illness of long duration. She was one of a pioneer family which settled at Fontanelle where she was born April 6, 1877, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Jones.

In her early childhood the family moved to Blair where she grew to womanhood and where on June 1, 1898 she was married to Fred Robertson. They lived in Blair until 1909 when they moved to Herman where they have since resided.

Two children were born to them, Mrs. Grace Genevieve Johnson of Decatur and Corporal Andrew Cornell Robertson of Ft. Benning, Georgia.

Deceased was a devout member of the Methodist church, and in all her doings lived the part of a Christian. For nine years she was superintendent of the Sunday School and secretary of the Methodist Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the O.E.S. of Herman and did her part as an active member.

Besides the husband and two children, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Eda Mead of Blair and Mrs. Mercy Ruth Stansfield of Omaha and one brother, Albin Budd Jones of Calvert City, California. Also six grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her death.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church in Herman with Rev. A. W. Clarke officiating, and interment will be made in the family lot at Fontanelle.
