Wednesday 23 Aug 1893, p8 c1:

Nelse Mortenson (sic), aged 64, died at his home in Lincoln Township on Saturday morning of a complication of diseases. It will be remembered that he was poisioned some years ago from drinking some home brewed beer and that his wife died of that cause. Since that time he was married to the widow Paulsen, but he never has enjoyed very good health. He was buried at the Danish Cemetery.

He claimed his daughter Johanna & her husband Soren Olesen caused the poisoning; disowned Johanna. The hired hand was declared legally insane as a result of drinking the beer.
