FORMER BLAIRE DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Adele French Howard, a native of Blair, died last week in Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Howard was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. A. French who built the residence now occupied by the Maurice Mehrens family just west of the West school building.

The family was of the earlier settlers, and Adele and her two brothers, Roy and Jay, received their earlier education here. Adele and John A. Rhodes graduated together in the year 1892, the only ones of a class of fifteen.

She left Blair in her young womanhood and was married. Her husband was a physician and they lived in Michigan where the husband enjoyed a lucrative practice.

After the death of the husband, she went to Los Angeles where her brothers resided and where she spent her remaining days.
