REV. I. M. HANSEN RITES TODAY

Rev. Ivar Marius Hansen, who had made his home in Blair for the past twenty years, passed away Tuesday morning, October 10th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Olson, in Farmington, Minnesota. The body was brought to the Bendorf Funeral Home, and services were conducted this Thursday afternoon at the First Lutheran church by Rev. H. C. Jorgensen and Dr. N. C. Carlsen; interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Rev. Hansen was born in Denmark on November 14, 1858. After studying at the Trinity Seminary of Blair and at the Chicago Theological Seminary, he received his ordination on June 2nd, 1889; he served in the Lutheran synod for a period of thirty years, eighteen in Chicago and twelve years in the churches of Staplehurst and Bennett, Nebraska. Upon his retirement from active service in 1919 he came to Blair, where he made his home until 1938; for the past year he has lived in Farmington. Surviving are Mrs. Hansen, two sons, Carl of Wayville, South Dakota, and Philip of Sioux City, Iowa; and a daughter, Mrs. Olson of Farmington, Minnesota.
