FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. FRED

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Kruger, well known resident of Arlington who died at her home on Sunday following a lingering illness of five years, were held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the home and at 2 o’clock from St. Paul's Lutheran church, with the Rev. G. W. Wolter officiating.

As Anna Marie Kleinebenne, she was born in Buende, Germany on July 7th, 1861. She came to the United States in June, 1880, and on June 24, 1881 she was united in marriage to Fred Kruger at Olive Branch, Nebraska. In 1882 they moved to Arlington where they resided for a period of 21 years, moving to a farm in this vicinity in 1903 where they spent the remainder of their lives. Mr. Kruger died in 1928, and two children also preceded her in death.

Surviving are five children: Herman Henry at home; Mrs. Fred Sheer of Ewing; William K. at home; Mrs. John Dickmeyer of Blair; and Mrs. John Stork of Arlington.

W.A. Reckmeyer and son were in charge of the funeral arrangements.

MRS. FRED KRUGER OF ARLINGTON DIES

RESIDENT OF ARLINGTON SINCE 1883 BURIED THERE YESTERDAY

Bedfast for the past five years, Mrs. Fred Kruger, 77, died at the Kruger home near Arlington Sunday afternoon.

As Anna Marie Kleinbenne, she was born at Buenze, Germany July 7th, 1861. She came to the United States in 1880, and on June 24, 1881 was married to Mr. Kruger at Olive Branch, Nebraska.

They moved to Arlington in 1883 and had made their home in the vicinity since, residing on a farm. Mr. Kruger died in 1928.

Surviving are two sons, Henry and William Kruger, both at home; and three daughters, Mrs. Fred Scheer of Ewing, Mrs. John Dickmeyer of Blair and Mrs. John Stork of Arlington.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. yesterday at the home and at 2 o’clock at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, with Rev. G.W. Wolter in charge.
