ED COOK DIES AT 78

Ed Cook, former businessman of Blair, died recently at his home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. In the early days Ed was a partner in the O.V. Palmer Co. general merchandising store located where the W.J. Sas store now stands.

He left Blair 28 years ago and settled in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin where he has since resided. One brother, W.J. Cook of Omaha, former Blair postmaster, still survives.

He leaves in his immediate family his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cooke and Mrs. Aleck Biechl, all of Beaver Dam.

E. F. COOK, 79, IS DEAD IN WISCONSIN

FORMER WELL-KNOWN RESIDENT HERE DIED AT BEAVER DAM

Edward F. Cook, 79, former well-known Blairite and a business man here for many years, died last Thursday at Beaver Lake, Wisconsin, friends here have learned. Mr. Cook left Blair 29 years ago. He once operated a hardware store here.

Brother of Wesley J. Cook, onetime Blair postmaster who now lives in Omaha, Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, the former Miss Cora Pound of Blair, sister of Mrs. D.Z. Mummert Sr. of Blair; and by two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cook and Mrs. A.J. Beichl, both of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services and burial took place at Beaver Dam.
