WM. P. TURNER

Wm. P. Turner, a resident of Blair for the past eleven years, died at his home on East Colfax Street at nine o’clock Tuesday morning. He had been ill for the past six weeks, suffering from heart trouble, but was thought to be improving.

He was born in Anita, Iowa June 25, 1876 and would thus have been sixty three years of age at his next birthday. For a term of years after his marriage on October 10, 1900, he lived in different places following his profession of jeweler and watchmaker.

A number of years ago he homesteaded in South Dakota, but continued his work in a nearby town. After proving up on his homestead, he left it and shortly after that came to Blair where he entered business.

To Mr. and Mrs. Turner three sons were born, all of whom with the wife, survive him. They are Max, Kenneth and Donovan, all of whom reside in Omaha. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Chas. E. Arnold of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and another sister, Mrs. J. T. Boyd and a brother, Edward P. Turner, both of Oelrich, South Dakota. Three grandchildren also survive.

Deceased was a man who had made many friends while residing here, and he will be missed greatly in the business circles of Blair.

Funeral service will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen officiating, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
