NICHOLAS CHRIST DIED WEDNESDAY

Nicholas Christ, nearly 86 years of age, passed away Wednesday afternoon at about one o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Otto Mencke of Kennard. He had suffered an attack of flu and was ill but a few days.

Deceased was born in Illinois May 3, 1853 where he grew to manhood and was married to Miss Emma Deetman in April, 1879.

The family moved to Nebraska 51 years ago, and have made this their home since that time. In all ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Christ, six of whom, with the aged wife, survive. The children surviving are: Mrs. Dave Gust, Blair; Otto Christ, Rosalie, Nebraska; Mrs. Emil Matzen, Kennard; Mrs. Mary McCracken, Omaha; Mrs. Otto Mencke, Kennard and John Edward at home with his mother.

At this writing no arrangements have been made for the funeral.
