FORMER HERMAN MAN PASSES AWAY

Stanley Gray, aged 68, was born in Delaware county, Ohio November 5, 1870, and died at this home at Orchard, Nebraska Wednesday, January 25, 1939. He came to Herman when about 21 years of age, and resided here for number of years. He was foreman of the old Nels-Morris ranch under the management of the late Carlton Saunders. This is now the Woods-Updike ranch. He had been a resident of Orchard, Nebraska the past thirty three years. Surviving are his wife, Maude, one daughter, Margaret of Omaha, two brothers, C.R. Gray of Herman and Ralph Gray of Stanton, Michigan. Funeral services were held at the home at Orchard at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, January 25. Interment was made in the cemetery there. The Masonic order conducted their rites at the grave.
