MRS. N. P. ANDERSEN DIED FRIDAY

Mrs. N. P. Andersen, a resident of Blair for the past 19 years and Washington county since 1884, died at her home at 105 Center street last Friday afternoon.

Inna Marie (Christensen) Hansen was born at Clipping Shetland, Denmark October 16, 1860, and departed this life at 2:30 Friday afternoon, January 13, 1939 at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 27 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Malibu, Denmark. She came to Blair, Nebraska June 14, 1884. She was united in marriage to Niels Peter Andersen February 25, 1885 at Blair, Nebraska. They lived on a farm near Blair until 19 years ago when they moved to their home on Center street where they have since lived.

To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters, who with the husband are left to mourn her death: Nels at Winside, Nebraska; Hans at Blair, Nebraska; Carl at Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Walter Christiansen, Akron Colorado; and Mrs. Albert Madsen at Herman, Nebraska. There are 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, three sisters, her twin sister, Mrs. Mads Larsen at Potter, Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. N. P. Jensen at Winside, Nebraska; and Mrs. H. L. Clausen at LaGrande, Oregon and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mrs. V. A. Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Merboldheimers, all of Potter, Nebraska; Harold and Wayne Andersen, Walter Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jensen, N. P. Jensen, James and Harry Jensen, all of Winside, Nebraska; Norman Christiansen of Wisner, Nebraska; Ed Hansen of Fremont, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 16th at the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. J. P. Nielsen in charge. Interment was at the Blair cemetery.

Note: In looking at the Vig Files at the American Danish Archives it seems that she was married to a Hansen prior to her marriage to Niels Peter Andersen on Feb. 25, 1885.
