Ruth I. Frink, 81

Ruth I. Frink, 81, of Fremont, died at her home on Saturday, May 9, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Fremont with Rev. Brian Kottas officiating.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Dayton Valley Cemetery at Clarence, Iowa.

Visitation will be at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, 9-11 a.m.

Mrs. Frink was born on Dec. 9, 1916, at Kennard, to Nels and Cora (Grimm) Lauritsen. She graduated from the Kennard High School and attended the Commercial Extension School of Commerce in Omaha.

She worked as a secretary for Paxton & Gallagher in Omaha and also for her father at Lauritsen Grain & Lumber in Kennard.

On Aug. 27, 1944, she married Kenneth C. Frink in Omaha. They lived on a farm near Clarence, Iowa, and moved into town after retirement. She worked as the secretary for the Methodist Church in Clarence.

Her husband died in 1980. She moved to Fremont in 1985.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fremont, the Hospital Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and Eagles REACT in Fremont and the VFW Auxiliary in Arlington.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Loraine and Russell Taylor of Fremont and one brother and sister-in-law, Byron and Freda Lauritsen of Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; a sister, a brother and an infant brother.
