Services were Monday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont for Helen L. Fritz, 68, who died Thursday, July 13, 1989, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. Rev. Dana J. Mark of St. Timothy Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Helen L. Huddleston Fritz was born May 9, 1921, at Tekamah. She moved to Omaha at the age of five.

A homemaker, she worked at Campbell Soup Co. before working at the Brestwood Inn in Fremont. She retired in 1985.

In 1957 she moved to a farm near Spiker, Nebraska. She moved to Fremont in 1975.

She married Frederick O. Fritz at Omaha on April 10, 1945.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rosella Engle Huddleston; a brother, Dan; and sisters, Irene Coates and Mary Roberts.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; sons, Stephen Orr of Medford, Oregon, Karl Fritz of Myrtle Point, Oregon, Russell Fritz of Fremont and Fred Wayne Fritz of North Bend; and daughters, Betty Adcock of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Steven (Joyce) Kubel of Fremont, Mrs. Preston (Susan) Butler of Ocean Side, California, and Mrs. Ray (Marcia) Werst of Fremont. A brother, Albert Huddleston of La Mesa, California; sisters, Ruby Shipley of ElCajon, California; Hazel Burnette, Dorothy Heimann and Mrs. Melvin (Bonnie) Jewett, all of Omaha; 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren also survive her.

Pallbearers were Vince Andreasen, Jason Andreasen, Ryan Fritz, Adam Fritz, Mike Orr and Jeff Hawman.

Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
