24 Nov., 1938 - The Enterprise - Arlington News

Stanley Dixon received word on Sunday of the death of his brother, Kenneth Dixon of Tompkins, Sask., Canada, which took place that morning at 8 o’clock. No details were received, but his death was thought to have been caused by complications which followed an accident which took place a number of years ago when he broke his ankle while carrying out a flaming oil stove which had exploded in a neighbor’s house. On account of the injury Mr. Dixon was forced to have his foot amputated last winter, following his visit here shortly after the death of his father, S. S. Dixon. The deceased was fifty two years of age, and was born near here, and lived in Arlington until about 1910 when he went to Canada, where he was employed for a number of years as a traveling auditor for a large elevator company. For some time Mr. Dixon operated a hardware store up until his death. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Pflug of Valley and Phyllis of Tompkins; three sons, Garth, Everett and Duane all of Tompkins; his mother, Mrs. S. S. Dixon of Valley; one brother, Stanley of this place and several grandchildren.
