BLAIR MAN DIES AT 89

CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN NOER DIED SUNDAY; LUTHERAN RITES HELD

Christian Andersen Noer, long a Blair resident, died at Fremont Sunday. Funeral services, in charge of the Bendorf Funeral Home, were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at First Lutheran church, the Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating, assisted by the Rev. L. H. Kjoller, of Blair. Interment was in Blair cemetery.

Deceased was born in Denmark November 18,1853, and came to Omaha in 1873. He and Mrs. Karen Frederiksen were married in Burt county December 21, 1877, and farmed near Argo until 1893. She died in Blair March 17, 1921.

Preceding the deceased in death were three children, Dena, who died in infancy, Hans Andersen in 1911 and Mrs. Christian Andersen (Maria) in 1934. Surviving are two sons, P.W. Fredriksen of Lomita, California, and John C. Andersen, Omaha; two daughters, Miss Anna Andersen and Mrs. H. Nielsen, both of Blair; one brother, Hans, of Pomona, California; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN DIED SUNDAY

Christian Andersen Noer, one of the best-known and best-beloved characters of the older generation, passed away last Sunday, February 21, at the ripe old age of 89 years.

He was born in Denmark, November 18, 1853, and came to America in 1873, settling first in Omaha and later going to Burt county where he farmed for a number of years.

On December 21, 1877, he was married to Mrs. Karen Fredericksen. Three children and an adopted son survive him. They are Miss Anna Andersen, at home; P. W. Andersen of Lamita, California; and Mrs. H. Nielsen of Blair; and an adopted son John Andersen, of Omaha. He also has eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

The deceased moved to Blair in 1893 and has since that time made this his home and where he has drawn to himself a large circle of friends.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Blair and it was in this church that the funeral was held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating, assisted by Rev. Kjoller, and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
