WORLD WAR VETERAN DIES

Frank Thompson, World War veteran, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday while being taken by ambulance to the Veterans’ hospital in Lincoln. He had been ill for a number of years, having contracted heart trouble while serving in the army.

He was born in Blair, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Antone Thompson, and married Miss Hazel Brunton, daughter of Jake Brunton of this city. to them three children were born, and these with the bereaved wife and his parents grieve deeply over his death.

He enlisted in the army on December 7, 1914 for a three year period, and was honorably discharged on May 21, 1917. He did his bit for his country, and in doing his bit he lost his life. Surely the greatest respect is due him.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Bendorf funeral Home with Rev. Rasmussen of the Methodist church officiating, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
