JULIUS HARTUNG RITES WEDNESDAY

Julius Hartung, 75, well known farmer of Arlington, died at his home in Arlington Saturday afternoon following an illness of several weeks. His death was the first in a family of four brothers and three sisters, he being the third eldest, and children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartung.

Mr. Hartung was born in Quincy, Illinois, and came here with his parents when 6 or 7 years of age. Forty four years ago he was married to Maggie Booksman, and they lived on the same farm in Sheridan township where he had resided three years prior to their marriage.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Eckhardt church with Rev. Eckhardt in charge.

Besides his wife, Mr. Hartung is survived by four daughters and a son: Mrs. Herman Timme, Mrs. Herbert Oermann, Mrs. William Bohing, all of Fontanelle vicinity; Mrs. Herbert Tokey of Montana, and George Hartung who lived with his parents.

The surviving sisters and brothers are Mrs. Fred Heuerman of Arlington, Mrs. Henry Plugge of Fremont, Mrs. Fred Brackett, August Hartung, William Hartung and Gottlieb Hartung all of Fontanelle vicinity.
