MRS. HARVEY KROGH DIED MONDAY

Death claimed Mrs. Harvey Krogh Monday morning at 3:10 due to various complications of troubles which had caused her to be in poor health for some time.

Birdie Irene Mehrens was born on the old home farm north of Blair, now owned and occupied by Fred Hurdum, on October 27. 1888, and would thus have been fifty years of age at her next birthday. She attended the rural school as a girl in her neighborhood, and later the Blair High school from which she graduated in the spring of 1906.

On December 29, 1909 she was married to Harvey Krogh, and to them five children were born, all of whom are living and with the grief-distracted husband mourn the loss of her who can never be replaced in their lives. The children are Harvey, Jr. of Ripley, Illinois; Dorothy, Oakley and Kenneth at home and Mrs. Arthur Westerfield of Omaha. Besides the immediate family two brothers, John Mehrens of Mondamin, Iowa and George of Fort Sumner, New Mexico and a sister, Mrs. Eva L. Grimsley of Little Sioux, Iowa survive her.

Mrs. Krogh was a devout Christian, and as long as her health would permit was an active member of the Church of God and she will be greatly missed by the large circle of friends who had learned to love and respect her for her Christian characteristics.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Church of God, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
