William Henry Peppmiller

William Henry Peppmiller was born at Quincy, Illinois January 9, 1860, and died at the home of his brother, August H. Peppmiller, five miles west of Herman on August 5, 1938, being 78 years, 6 months and 27 days. He was the son of the late Henry and Hannah Peppmiller, and came to Nebraska the spring of 1893. He never married and made his home with his brother, Edward and family for thirty years, and for the past four years with his youngest brother, August H. He leaves to mourn his loss three brothers, Henry of Kennard, Edward of Omaha, August H. of Herman, one sister, Mrs. Amelia Jurgens of Coatsburg, Illinois, other relatives and a large circle of friends. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church by the Rev. T. Porter Bennett, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church of Tekamah. The singers were Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Mrs. Harley Rogert, Fred Robinson and C. R. Gray with Miss Louise Larsen at the piano. Interment was at Coatsburg, Illinois. The body was taken to Omaha by auto hearse and shipped from there by train. August H. Peppmiller accompanied the remains.
