CHARLES STRONG RITES HELD FRIDAY

Charles Strong was born southwest of Herman in Washington county on November 25, 1874, and died at Herman July 20, 1938, being 63 years, 7 months and 25 days of age.

His parents homesteaded the farm now owned by Charles Nelson, and this was where he was born. He was never married. During the last four years of his life he had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. E. Hover. He was the oldest of nine children. Six brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. Letty Lamb of Bemidji, Minnesota, one brother, Frank Strong of Dakota City, Nebraska, twelve nephews and nieces besides a large circle of friends in Herman and Blair.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home at Blair Friday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. A. W. Clarke of the Herman Methodist church officiated. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.
