OLD RESIDENT DEAD

With the passing of J.M. Jackson, death claimed a man who for thirty-four years has been a resident of the county. Mr. Jackson died at his home on South street Friday, January 9th, after years of suffering.

The deceased was nearly seventy-nine years of age and was born in England in 1835. He came to this county in 1870 and located on a fram near Fontanelle, later moving to Blair.

The funeral services were held from the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. Warren officiating, and interment made at the Blair cemetery. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Sarah Schwarts, and was united to Mr. Jackson in 1892, and two sisters, Mrs. T. Wilkinson of Blair, and Mrs. G.D. Phillips of Colfumbus, Neb.

J.M. JACKSON DEAD

J.M. Jackson died at his home on South street at 1:27 this Friday morning, the direct cause of his death being injuries he received occasioned by last Sunday being bathed.

He was one of the early settlers of the Sheridan township many years ago. He has been an invalid, afflicted with rheumatism, entirely helpless much of the time for many years.

He leaves a wife but no children and is a brother to Mrs. Thos. Wilkinson of this city.

Arrangements have been made for the funeral at the home.

OBITUARY

Jabez M. Jackson was born in England, Feb. 14, 1835, came to this county about 1870, living most of the time at Fontanelle and Blair. Died Jan. 9, 1914, after years of suffering, being 78 years and 10 months old.

In May, 1902, he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah E. Schwartz who survives him. The deceased has two living sisters, Mrs. T. Wilkinson of Blair, and Mrs. G.D. Phillips of Columbus, Neb.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.B. Warren at the house on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 2 PM. Interment in Blair cemetery.
