MRS. DONALD STEWART DIED SUDDENLY SUNDAY

Active In Church And Club Work, Ill Much Of Time

Death came to Mrs. Don Stewart last Sunday morning at about four o’clock. Her health had not been the best for years, she having been a patient sufferer from asthma and of late she had suffered greatly. Although her condition was generally known, her death came as a shock to the community.

She was a general favorite in the community; having a pleasing personality and being mentally alert, she fitted in with the social doings of those of her age and will be greatly missed both in church and social functions.

As Eleanor Isabel Spicer, she was born in Tiffany, Wisconsin on August 13, 1900. She received her early education in Shopiere and Beloit, Wisconsin.

Later for several years she was associated with a physician in his office in Beloit. While attending school in Milwaukee she met Mr. Donald Stewart and on January 1, 1925 they were married, the ceremony being performed in Janesville. For a time they resided in Milwaukee and then moved to Blair where they have since resided.

She became an active member of the local Congregational church and of the Ladies’ Social Union, and will be greatly missed by the church and her friends.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, her parents, one sister of Los Angeles, California and a brother of Memphis, Tennessee, and a grandmother 89 years of age.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Congregational church with Rev. R. W. Hastings officiating and with J. E. Campbell, mortician, in charge. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
