FORMER BLAIRITE DIES OF WOUNDS

Ray Beckley, Missouri Valley businessman and former resident of Blair, Nebraska, died in a Council Bluffs hospital of accidental gun shots suffered June 26.

Beckley, who had been cleaning his 22 caliber rifle, was shot twice in the abdomen. The accident occurred on the farm of the deceased which is located near Loveland, Iowa.

Ray Beckley, 54, was a well known businessman, owning the Farmers Grain and Implement Co. of Missouri Valley and having held several county and city offices and a position on the school board. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Mr. Beckley will be remembered by Blairites as having farmed north of here several years ago. He is a cousin of Hugh Cooke and Mrs. Ed Stevens.
