HENRY J. STORK RITES TUESDAY

Funeral services for Henry J. Stork, who died on Friday at his home northeast of Arlington after an illness of some length, although he had not been confined to his home for only about four weeks, were held on Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran church.

Henry John Stork, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stork, early residents of this county, was born on June 26, 1879 on the farm where he spent his entire life and where he died. He was confirmed in 1893 and on December 14, 1905 was married to Mary Stranghoener, who with their two children, survive him. They are Levi Stork, who lives at home and Mrs. Henry Greunke; one grandchild, Luther Greunke, and two sisters, Mrs. Casper Kassebaum and Mrs. Emma Brinkmann, both of this vicinity, also survive him.

The body was brought to the Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair where it lay in state until the time of the funeral services.

At the services held at the home preceding the church service, which was conducted by the Rev. G. W. Wolter, Hartman’s choir sang “Rock of Ages” at the church, Prof. Schnackenburgh’s choir also sang “Rock of Ages” and Mrs. Otto Schnackenburgh also sang “God Be With You Till We Meet Again”.

Pallbearers were Oscar Scheer, Lawrence Walkenhorst, George Kassebaum, John Brinkmann, Harvey Hilgenkamp and Gilbert Stranghoener.
