ARLINGTON FARMER DIED MONDAY

F. W Kruger, well known farmer of the Arlington vicinity, died at his home last Monday following a brief illness. He had been in poor health for some time so the end was not a surprise.

Deceased had spent his entire life in the Arlington vicinity, having been born there on June 14, 1865. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Kruger.

His wife, formerly Lena Dunklau, and five children survive him. They are Mrs. Henry Hilgenkamp, Ewi Kruger, Martin Kruger and Albert Kruger all of Arlington and Miss Laura Kruger of Saint Louis, Missouri. Three grandchildren also survive and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Schoettger of Fontanelle and Mrs. Charles Laaker of Fremont.

Funeral services will be held on this Thursday afternoon at 1:45 o’clock from the home and at 2:00 o’clock from Saint Paul’s Lutheran church, with the Rev. G. W. Wolter officiating.

FUNERAL RITES FOR F. W. KRUGER

Funeral services for Frederick William Kruger, who died at his farm home near Arlington on Monday afternoon, were held last Thursday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran church, with a brief service preceding at the home.

Mr. Kruger was born in the vicinity of Arlington on June 14, 1865, and spent his entire life living on farms near Arlington. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Kruger. He was confirmed on March 21, 1889 by Rev. Hilgendorf, and on March 14, 1889 he was married to Lena Dunklau. The couple observed their silver wedding anniversary in 1914, and would have celebrated their golden anniversary next March.

Mr. Kruger, although not in good health for some time, was ill only a few days before his death.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schnackenburg sang “Asleep in Jesus” at the home service, and the school children sang at the church. The services, which were conducted by the Rev. G. W. Wolter, were very largely attended, over five hundred being present.

Besides his wife, Mr. Kruger is survived by three sons, Eri, Martin and Albert, all of Arlington; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Hilgenkamp of this place and Miss Laura Kruger of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Schoettger of Fontanelle and Mrs. Charles Laaker of Fremont; and three grandchildren, besides a number of other close relatives.

Among the out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mr. And Mrs. Daniel Drude and daughter, Erma of Truman, Minnesota; Miss Johanna Dunklau of St. Paul, Minnesota; Rev. and Mrs. M. Adam of Omaha and Prof. and Mrs. Bernthal and daughters, Sarah and Julia of Pierce.
