Mrs. Emma Hagelstein, daughter of the late Hiram Craig, who was a pioneer here, died at the home of her niece in Fort Calhoun on last Tuesday morning, aged about 75 years.

Deceased leaves one sister, Mrs. Herman Hagelstein of Wayne county, and two brothers, Sheridan Craig of Hemmingford, Nebraska and Roy Craig of Alliance, Nebraska.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon from the Sievers funeral Home, and interment will be made in the Fort Calhoun cemetery.

Mrs. Emma Hagelstein died in Fort Calhoun Tuesday night, March 1, after an illness which had confined her to bed for a few weeks. She was a daughter of a pioneer family, Allen Craig, and was born March 4, 1874, on the Craig homestead west of Fort Calhoun. She was married on June 26, 1901 to John Chris Hagelstein, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1932. She is survived by two brothers, Sheridan and Roy Craig of Alliance, Nebr., and one sister, Rhoda Hagelstein of Randolph.

Her large circle of friends regret the departure of this good friend and neighbor, who had spent all her life in this vicinity.

The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at the Sievers Mortuary with burial at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
