PETER RUDEN DIED MONDAY (also spelled Rudin)

Peter Rudin, farmer residing southwest of Herman, died Monday, February 28th, at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 26 days.

Deceased was born in Sweden and came to America in 1881. After landing here, he worked in Blair for two years before sending to the old country for his wife. In 1883 he moved to the farm where he died.

For fifty five years they resided on their farm and were good neighbors, good farmers and good citizens. They had no children, and as age came on and the infirmities common at that stage of life swept down on them, they were helpless, and but for the kindness of neighbors would have suffered greatly.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Rose Hill church.
