CHAS. T. FARNAM VETERAN DRUGGIST DIES AT 74

Member of “Farnham and Samson” Firm Dies After Long Illness

Charles T. Farnham was born September 23, 1864 at Pittsfield, Massachusetts where he grew to manhood and where he graduated from the high school.

With his parents he came to Nebraska in 1886, and for a number of years farmed northwest of Blair on Highway 73. Later he with his parents moved to Blair, and he became associated with William Samson in the drug business under the firm name of Farnham and Samson. Later the business was sold, and is now known as “The Stewart Pharmacy”.

On June 14, 1910 he was married to Miss Gertrude Walton, and to this union one daughter, Ruth, was born who with the wife are left to mourn the great loss of a kind and loving husband and father.

He was a member of the Washington Lodge No. 21 A.F.& A.M., the Adoniram Chapter No. 13 Royal Arch Masons, the Jordon Commandery No. 15 Knights Templar and the Tangier Temple - Ancient Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine.

He died Friday evening at 7:30 o’clock following a long period of ill health. The funeral services were held from the Bendorf Funeral Home Sunday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen officiating, and the Masons in charge both at the Home and at the cemetery. Interment was in the Blair cemetery.
