3 Feb., 1938 - The Enterprise MRS. CHRIS SAMUEL DIES IN OMAHA Mrs. Emma Samuel, 72, wife of Chris Samuel, died Monday evening at her home, 608 North Seventeenth St., Omaha, apparently of natural causes. The family left Blair eight years ago, and located in Omaha. Her husband, a son and a foster son survive. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m., and burial was made in West Lawn cemetery.

Note: According to the Vig Files at the Danish American Archives, Emma Mathilde Lenson Samuels died on Jan. 31, 1938. Her husband Christian died in Feb 1939. Vig has them recorded as being buried in West Lawn Cemetery in Omaha. The census records, have the name recorded Samuels, Samuelson, and Samuelsen. Chris (Christian) divorced a Mary in 1903. Emma has a son, George Craven Tallman who is buried in the Blair Cemetery. She also has a son Christian and a foster son, Stanley. Christian Sr. operated the Samuels & Sons Flour and Feed Store.
